Best Western Plus Hotel Bahnhof

It is right outside the train station. It is right in pedestrian zone, across from buses that can be caught to the falls, and imperfect walking distance of everything in the centrum. The staff, especially Jennifer and Dominic, we’re super great. Had parking for bikes as well.

This was the best hotel we stayed during our entire 10 day trip to Switzerland, huge rooms with separate sitting area, good size beds, coffee/tea was amazing, restroom decent size, adequate towels and robe/slippers which are rare in western countries. On top of that, an amazing breakfast with lots of choices for everyone’s taste. Check out time is 12:00 which is late for European standards.

The hotel is very nice. It is right next to the station and road, but it has very good soundproofing, so it is very quiet in the room. Also the road has limited traffic, so it is not very noisy outside. Breakfast (from 6:30 on weekdays and from 7:30 on Sunday) is very delicious: there is full English plus salmon, shrimps, cold cuts, cheeses, salads, croissants, pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc.

The hotel is basically next to the train and bus stop. But it is not noisy even when we have a room facing the main road. The bed was very comfortable that we almost missed the breakfast. The breakfast was abundant with hot and cold dishes to choose from.

The location is excellent whether walking or travelling by train or bus. Access to all the facilities in Schaffhausen was perfect. The staff are excellent. Always had happy faces. Always courteous, and really nice to talk to, even in English. The buffet breakfast had enough range to keep most people happy. I am going to miss the sesame seed coated croissants - absolute favourite! :-) The room was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable as well.
